I was born in County Kildare, Ireland a little over twenty years ago,
and I have been associated with music most of my life.
I traveled to Sweden at a very young age with a folk group to participate in a folk contest there,
we claimed 3rd prize. This fed my hunger for travel throughout the world, in particular as a member of the United Nations Peace keeping forces in the Middle East.
I have appeared on many radio and TV shows in Ireland and the US. For those of you who don't already know I won the Irish equivalent of "The Bachelor" at the International Bachelor Festival in Ballybunion, Co. Kerry a few years ago!!!
As my music carried me throughout distant places, the US beckoned me in 1979 and I have been here ever since. I am now a proud citizen
of this great country, and settled in the Catskill mountains with my band. We played venues like Jimmy O'Connor's Windham Mountain Inn, Jack Gavins, and numerous other gigs in the Metro New York area, not to mention the great times we had at the John Barleycorn.
I have also played the Hunter Mountain festival, opening for song and dance man the great Donald O'Connor. I eventually came to settle in Chicago 17 years ago
and have had the pleasure of performing at the Milwaukee Irish Fest, Kitty O'Shea's at the Chicago Hilton and Towers, the now defunct Irish Village, Fox's restaurants, and the famous Chicago Gaelic Park and other places too numerous to mention.
I have had the great pleasure of performing alongside the renowned Irish Balladeer Paddy Reilly on a Carribean cruise, along with Mary and Francis Black, Frank McCourt, and one you all know the great comedian George Casey.
I am now living on the South Side of Chicago with my lovely wife Denise and my two wonderful children Aiden and Hannah.
